Napa Valley Trail Rides is located in the heart of Coombsville, Napa Valley on the historic Rapp Ranch.
Rapp Ranch was once the area’s leading Quarter Horse breeding and training facility, gaining international recognition throughout the 1980s and 1990s for producing award-winning competitors. In 2005, the property shifted toward viticulture, planting ultra-premium Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards and developing a state-of-the-art winery and tasting facilities, but still kept the equestrian spirit alive.
When the Alkosser family purchased the ranch in 2016 they reimagined it as a destination that honors its equestrian roots while embracing world-class wine and culinary experiences. Today, guests enjoy guided horseback rides, led out of the original Western Barn, through the vineyards followed by Shadybrook Estate wine tastings—an experience unlike any other in Napa Valley.
